iPhone 7 unveiled with Super Mario Run

Well, Nintendo have finally done - they've gone mobile.

Don't try to tell me that they already did it with MiiTomo - stop it. MiiTomo was a poor attempt and dipping the tiniest of toes into making mobile apps. And yes I'm aware it may be linked to this new game.

As for Pokemon Go; Nintendo didn't even make it, Niantic did. Although not everyone seemed to realise that at first. Hence the dramatic rise and then subsequent fall of Nintendo shares post Pokemon's launch. But hey look - the iPhone 7 has just been announced shares are back up again.

Not that the iPhone 7 is going to particularly revolutionary, it's decidedly evolutionary. But one thing that didn't make its way into the rumour mill was Super Mario Run's existence or its exclusivity to iOS. Last we heard, Nintendo were considering making their own mobile device.

And guess what? It looks pretty good.
